Full Job Description
Zurich Canada is currently looking for an AVP, Sr. Property Risk Consultant to provide expert risk assessment and consultative services supporting our Large Property accounts.

Reporting to the AVP, General Property, you will serve as both an account coordinator and field representative for multiple accounts. You will collaborate with underwriting partners to manage Zurich's property portfolio's risk quality, support customer risk control programs, conduct site risk assessments, develop account analysis, and coordinate stewardship meeting adhering to Zurich global technical standards and recognized codes.

What you will do
• Assess the quality of complex risks, focusing on key and strategic assets as outlined by Zurich Resilience Solutions standards.
• Evaluate loss potentials in accordance with Zurich and industry definitions.
• Support external customers by identifying, assessing, and reducing the risks to their key/strategic assets and on an overall account basis.
• Provide appropriate risk improvement advice, conduct loss investigations (including trend and root cause analysis), and implement risk improvement programs.
• Communicate effectively with field risk engineers; nurture relationships with underwriting partners, brokers, industry consultants, professional organizations, and approval authorities.
• Develop and implement Customer Service Plans for coordinated accounts to drive efficient field service.
• Ensure consistency and quality of services to the account, including assessments, risk improvement advice, reporting, and time/expense management.
• Explore new service area opportunities, develop new customer services, and identify cross-selling potential.
• Support the commercial growth of Zurich Resilience Solutions by delivering expert consulting and sold services, identifying opportunities, and fostering strong client relationships.
• Manage change within accounts by staying in close contact with customer management and business partners, including reviewing new projects and plans for change.

Job Qualifications - What you bring to the table

Required:
• Bachelor's Degree and 8 or more years of experience in Risk Engineering related to Property
OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in Risk Engineering related to Property
OR
• Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associate's Degree and 8 or more years of experience in Risk Engineering related to Property
AND
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Advanced knowledge of industrial hazards and controls
• Experience working in a team environment

Preferred:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Civil, or related discipline
• Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation
• Account management experience as a Risk Services consultant with middle market or large customer property lines of business and programs
• Strong communication and results-oriented consultative skills
• Outstanding collaboration skills
• Fluency in both spoken and written French
• Fluency in both spoken and written English is required to facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders outside Quebec.
