What does a day as an AVP of Business Loan Operations look like?

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee day-to-day Business Lending Operations, including loan processing, closing, booking, servicing, and portfolio support.
  • Build and improve workflows, procedures, controls, and performance metrics to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Manage loan pipelines and turnaround times to ensure loans are processed accurately and on schedule.
  • Oversee the review, closing, funding, and boarding of commercial, real estate, construction, SBA, and participation loans.
  • Ensure loan documentation, collateral, insurance, approvals, and post-closing requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies while identifying and addressing operational risks.
  • Partner with lending, credit, compliance, accounting, and member service teams to improve processes, reporting, systems, and the overall member experience.


What is the schedule? Our hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Sometimes giving top-notch member service may require a little overtime, but we value work-life-balance and do our best to limit this.

Does your skill set and experience line up? For this role, we are looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a financial services position
  • Has a college degree
  • Must have strong attention to detail, strong math and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Must maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers
  • Must have very strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
