Job Title: Manufacturing Supply Chain Lead

Division: Piscataway Manufacturing

Location: Piscataway, NJ

Reports To: VP, Plant Manager

What You Will Do:
  • Lead the local supply chain function and the development of the overall plantlogisticsstrategy by working with production,the divisionand business leaders to implement a world-class execution and delivery system.
  • Departmental Leadership: Direct management and career development of a 20+ member team, including organizational design, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Strategic Autonomy: Own the 3-year strategic roadmap for the Manufacturing Supply Chain department, aligning plant capacity with L'OréalGlobal'slong-term growthobjectives. Cocreate with the plantmanager fortheappropriate BCPfor the business.
  • EHS & Quality Stewardship: Serve as a core member of the plant leadership team, driving an interdependent safety culture and 100% compliance with Quality and Environmental missions.
  • P&L & Budget Ownership: Full accountability for thelogisticsbudget, inventory financial trends, and cost-reduction initiatives related to material flow and vendor liability.
  • Drive Further Cost Optimization Through Advanced Value Engineering,implementvalue engineering initiatives across 5 key raw material and 5 critical packagingcomponentscategories that collectively represent the highest spend.


  • Expand Global Supplier Risk Management to Geopolitical and ESG Factors. Broaden the
  • An existingglobal supplier risk management program to include a systematic assessment and mitigation strategy for geopolitical risks and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliance across all critical suppliers.
  • Industrialization Ownership: End-to-end accountability for new product launches, from feasibility studies and cost estimation to final production attainment.
  • Inventory Revolution: Autonomously develop and implement advanced inventory control systems to improve material flow and minimize excess/obsolete stock.
  • Digital Transformation: Oversee the maintenance and evolution of Material Planning
  • Requirements (MRP) and technological tools to drive operational efficiency. Implementing a targeted professional development program, focusing on advanced digital tools and analyticsfor decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Act as the ultimate decision-maker for production
  • prioritization, balancing high-level service requirements with plant operational stability.
  • Direct the local supply chain andlogisticsfunction to meet or exceed established service levels.
  • Oversee the planning of the monthly Master Production Schedule (MPS), all product launch activities and the planning of components and raw materials for production.
  • Drive continuous improvement andcoordinatemanufacturing operations to meet service levels and demand.
  • Research anddetermineavailability of resources to execute launch,promotionand standard business production, challenging and making recommendations during Productionplan validation.


  • Approve Sales Forecast and initiate changes as necessary based on plant capacity.
  • Own ContractManufacturing byOverseeing the coordination of requirements with the subcontracting team to fill needs, and in parallel develop a roadmap to bringin-housewhen Itmakes financial sense.
  • Activelyparticipatein plant trending and budgeting.
  • Review stock status and report to anomalies/problems to the division and plant management committee.
  • Build the strategy for all inventory categories coverages & value mapping with reference to geopolitical constraints in the leanest manner to ensure the service sustainability.
  • Work closely with demand planning andparticipatein reliable forecast analysis to reduce E&O impacts.
  • Advance Sustainable Sourcing Initiatives Beyond Packaging. Expand the focus of sustainable sourcing beyond packaging to include key raw materials with high environmental or social impact.
  • Lead a team oflogisticsprofessionals to achieve service levels and support plant/division objectivesincluding agility & responsiveness, Health of Inventory, and L4TF. Builds a strong engaged high performing team driving PULSE in the positive direction.
  • Be the SRM for both CM vendors as well as RM/PM suppliers.


What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Management (MBA highly preferred).
  • Minimum 10-12 years of significant leadership experience in manufacturing supply chain operations withina cosmeticsenvironment.
  • Proven People Leadership. Demonstratedtrack recordof leading, structuring, and developing large teams (20+) within a complex manufacturing matrix.
  • Strategic Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of plantlogisticsKPIs, P&L management, and advanced MRP/ERP systems.
  • Decision-Making: Exceptional professional judgment with the ability to make autonomous, high-stakesdecisions thatimpactplant profitability.
  • Computer skills,includingexperience with spreadsheets, pivot tables, presentations, graphicssoftware,and database management.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Plancomponentinventories andmaintainplanning parameters to manage the inventory Investmentwithin budgeted levels.
  • Must wear all proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Visual/auditory acuityrequiredtooperateequipment and see/hear warning alarms.
  • Mustdemonstrate100% personal responsibility for departmental outcomes.
