Full Job Description
The Associate Vice President, Clinical Intelligence is the enterprise leader that sets the strategy and roadmap for Humana’s clinical intelligence products. The leader also defines and enforces enterprise standards for AI-driven clinical actions including pre-deployment testing, drift monitoring, human-in-the-loop and human-on-the-loop workflows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Create and own the enterprise clinical intelligence vision, mission, strategy, and two to four year roadmap.


• Direct multiple teams responsible for clinical informatics, care pathways and clinical AI safety and evaluation, translating clinical guidelines and evidence into configurable pathways that scale across conditions.


• Partner with engineering and business leaders across the health plan and CenterWell to deliver clinical intelligence products against enterprise outcome targets.


• Manage enterprise standards for AI clinical safety, a decision area with regulatory, reputational, and member-safety exposure.


• Lead planning, staffing, budgeting, expense priorities, talent decisions, and changes to methods and practices for the function.


• Contribute significantly to interdepartmental initiatives aligned with enterprise strategy and represent the company on matters of great significance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD or MD or equivalent degree in data science, informatics, public health, a clinical discipline, or a related field.


• Fifteen or more years of related professional experience.


• Seven or more years of people management experience, including experience leading leaders and multiple teams.


• Deep expertise in informatics, clinical intelligence, artificial intelligence, or a related discipline.


• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and formulate, communicate, and implement enterprise strategy.


• Demonstrated success influencing decisions across payer and care delivery businesses.


• Passion for contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving the consumer healthcare experience.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience spanning insurance, primary care, pharmacy, and home health or other home-based care.


• Experience presenting to senior executives and governing bodies on matters of significant enterprise importance.


• Track record of building high performing, diverse leadership teams and succession pipelines

Work at Home Requirements: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed required by Humana may not be sufficient for business needs. Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$246,100 - $344,200 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
