Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Diagnostic/Heavy Line Automotive Technician who takes pride in solving complex vehicle issues and delivering quality repairs the first time. In this role, you'll:
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance concerns on Ford vehicles.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs efficiently while meeting Ford and dealership quality standards.
  • Use factory diagnostic equipment and technical resources to accurately identify and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Complete thorough multi-point inspections and identify additional maintenance or safety recommendations.
  • Communicate repair findings and recommendations with Service Advisors to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
  • Work closely with the Parts Department to keep repairs moving efficiently.
  • Accurately document diagnostics, repairs, warranty information, and labor operations.
  • Road test vehicles as needed to verify repairs and ensure quality workmanship.
  • Mentor apprentice technicians and help foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Participate in ongoing Ford factory training and stay current with the latest technology, repair procedures, and technical service bulletins.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all dealership and safety policies.
  • Treat every customer's vehicle with the professionalism and care you would expect for your own.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience as an Automotive Service Technician with Diagnostic and Heavy Line repair experience
  • Ford dealership experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • ASE Certifications are preferred
  • Ability to efficiently diagnose, repair, and maintain today's increasingly complex vehicles
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
