Job DescriptionToday Top Workplace!We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Controller to join our team in Tulsa, OK. The Controller will oversee a centralized accounting office supporting four dealerships (Mercedes, Porsche, Infiniti, and Nissan). As the Automotive Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our automotive business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning.
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Conduct in-depth cost analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
- Monitor performance metrics such as DOC Variance, CIT, Warranty Credit, Posting efficiency, etc.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial partners
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Stay up-to-date with automotive industry trends and financial best practices
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, GAAP, and automotive industry financial practices
- Proficiency in automotive accounting software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds and Reynolds) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling in the automotive sector
- In-depth understanding of automotive supply chain and manufacturing processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining internal controls and ensuring regulatory compliance
