Full Job Description
Job duties: Review conceptual sketches of mechanical parts design considering the relations between auto parts components, functional requirements, allocation of space and component geometry; Performing various automotive components engineering designs and modeling to finalize criteria and typical sections using math data; develop and supports development for Design and develop SOR for automotive components from initial concept through to full production; evaluate and research automotive components development process to lead technical review by analyzing CAE results and actual testing results; defines ICD requirements for component and sub-system interfaces, and evaluate and negotiate preliminary and conceptual designs, models and technical drawings in or to improve ergonomical efficiency; perform appropriate studies/alternatives, and supports program direction based upon cost, mass, timing, DFA, complexity and other commodity imperatives; and ensure feasible schedules for both design and lead Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design for Assembly (DFA) development /implementation activities for production releases. May need to work in other locations as required.
Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related and 5 years of experience.
