Responsibilities
- Provide Engineering support to Manufacturing, Quality, H&S, Sales, Costing, and Maintenance on Automotive products, equipment, and tooling.
- Prepare and deliver information, technical reports, and presentations to management, customers, vendors, and technical partners.
- Contribute to concept generation and ideation processes.
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Perform other duties which may become essential to the position.
- Lead regular technical reviews throughout all phases of a project.
- Interact with production and engineering at all levels.
- Travel worldwide for the company as required (possibly up to ~25%)
- Manage projects that drive the creation of new battery designs or improvements to existing products for the OE and Aftermarket customers.
- Create, maintain, and update published technical information.
- Support other Application Engineering personnel as needed.
- Represent East Penn as the technical interface with the OE and Aftermarket customers.
- Field calls and e-mails from East Penn sales contacts, OE, and Aftermarket customers.
- Lead customers on in-plant tours
- Evaluate devices that interface with the battery in an OE application
- Participate in the testing, reviewing, and approval of battery designs.
- Evaluate the measured performance (cpk/ppk) of processes to ensure the processes’ ability to fulfill customer and EPM performance and safety requirements.
