Job PurposeThis role coordinates and executes New Model project activity across manufacturing, quality, production in achieving the new model quality, cost, and delivery targets which are critical to the success of New Model launch in the production site.
Key Accountabilities Facilitate New Model Production, Quality and Purchasing Project Teams for MMC NM projects in ensuring the team is aligned on the day-to-day operations, collect data and apply business knowledge to promote solutions to achieve EPL target requirements.
With EPL's support, utilize schedules and New Model standards to execute setting clear milestones, prioritizing activity and ensuring resource requirements.
Facilitate the management of problem item documentation, responsibility and closure in achievement of project targets coordinating with each problem PICs.
Develop and maintain strong communication to ensure information sharing within D/E-side New Model Teams
Direct and Prepare activity to support compliance of New Model Evaluations for MMC projects
- Establish and manage schedule to support achievement of New Model evaluation requirements.
- Apply New Model requirements and standards in setting evaluation conditions, addressing identified gaps.
- Analyze, Summarize, Report and Track New Model Investment and Start-Up Expense required to launch a New Model.
- Create and present information to executives in alignment with New Model reporting guidelines.
- Demonstrate technical proficiency in the area of New Model development, with expertise on some topics.
Manage Trial Event Unit Requests to support SED requirements for MMC projects
- With recognition of plant resources and applying New Model Standards, Develop and Execute trial event requirements and detailed activity schedules to achieve project targets
- Solicit for, maintain and communicate total SED unit requirements to support project target achievement, negotiate change or update as needed
- Create instructions to direct the ordering, production, and fabrication of parts necessary to build New Model trial event units
- Lead activities to support in the identification, tracking, control and resolution of critical trial event concerns or known issues and report to the team
- Lead direction for event part requirements through part control and New Model receiving standards
- Lead activity to establish event targets and promote event readiness to executive team
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Bachelor's degree in business and/or engineering or, equivalent relevant work experience.
At least 3 or more years of relevant experience in the industry, preferably in automotive sector
MS Office, Communication - Public Speaking/Presentation skills,
Problem solving and decision making, Project management qualifications are optional
Workstyle This is an onsite job. One remote workday per week may be possible with prior departmental approval.
