Key Responsibilities:
As an Automation Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
• Analyzes and executes the commissioning of electronic equipment, PLCs (Siemens/Allen-Bradley), industrial communication networks, vision systems, and measurement devices.
• Coordinates concurrent engineering processes and technology sourcing with suppliers for machinery, equipment, tooling, gauges, and other resources for new product launches.
• Analyzes and coordinates troubleshooting support for automated control systems and power systems dedicated to high-frequency welding.
• Effectively manages automation resources using digital systems to ensure a stable and controlled manufacturing process.
• Identifies business needs in manufacturing process automation and coordinates their implementation across different areas, aligning operational and support resources and connecting key personnel according to project requirements.
• Coordinates the economic evaluation of projects for the development of new technologies and automation processes.
• Coordinates RFQ development, engineering reviews, and FAT and SAT validations with different suppliers.
• Ensures the development and validation of the Integrated Manufacturing Plan and participates in feasibility studies for new products.
• Provides support for continuous improvement activities (Carrier CX), Quality, and EH&S.
Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Controls Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation within manufacturing environments
• Hands-on experience programming PLCs and HMIs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
• Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting automated production equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
• Experience in configuration and installation of vision systems (Cognex/Keyence)
• Knowledge about power electronic (HF welder, VFD)
Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:
• Experience with industrial or collaborative robots (FANUC, Yaskawa, ABB or similar)
• Experience with simulation tools such as Process Simulate or Plant Simulation
