Automation and Manual Tester
The Opportunity:

When a user tries a new system, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful information systems and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need an experienced quality assurance analyst like you who knows how to thoroughly test software and ensure that our team releases the best system possible. We are seeking a quality assurance specialist with manual and automation skillsets.

What You'll Work On:
  • Execute functional, integration, automated, and data verification testing for web applications and back-end databases.
  • Use appropriate testing tools and methodologies to develop and execute test strategies, test data, test scripts, and other release artifacts supporting enhancement and operations and maintenance (O&M) releases.
  • Support test planning by helping develop effort estimates and prioritize testing activities.
  • Execute both positive and negative test cases, document results, validate source-to-target data comparisons, and support user acceptance testing.
  • Review test reports, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation, and related work products for completeness and accuracy.
  • Lead and support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of SDLC testing documents and artifacts.

You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience in hands-on application testing, and developing and executing test scripts
  • 2+ years of experience validating web interface, dashboards, data, APIs, and source to target data verification, and creating test data
  • 1+ years of experience using database query languages and tools, including SQL or TOAD, to cross-verify data in the application with the database
  • Experience with test automation and performance testing
  • Experience with Selenium, LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE), and JMeter
  • Experience with productivity tools, including Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, and using configuration management and defect tracking tools such as Jira and ALM
  • Ability to support 508, COTS, and usability testing
  • Ability to translate functional and data requirements into SQL, and write procedures and functions to test complicated data interfaces
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
