AUTO TECHNICAL CLAIMS COORDINATOR

IMT Insurance is hiring for an Auto Technical Claims Coordinator to join our Claims department. This position will be responsible for the oversight of and technical training of the auto scope and estimating practices for the claim department. That includes training of new personnel and ongoing education of experienced claim representatives relative to best estimating practices using company-provided software. A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Supervises and trains claims personnel as to auto physical damage, including estimating software.
  • Supervises and trains claims personnel as to property losses and scoping damages, including estimating software.
  • Works closely and coordinates with the Claims Services Supervisor or Manager in all training efforts for multi-line adjusting staff.
  • Training includes conducting IMT seminars, presenting at Claims School, and attending IMT training groups as assigned.
  • Manages all auto salvage and reports annually as to salvage results to claims management.
  • Generally assists with coordinating CAT teams when needed.
  • Coordinate projects as assigned.
  • Works closely with auto and property software and other vendors, managing those relationships for the Claim Department.
  • Works with software vendors to monitor, update, and authorize changes in the system, settings, matrix, and the like.
  • Report to the Claims Manager or Director as to any potential system integrations.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Claims field, especially in the areas of property and auto estimating.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Attends conferences, seminars, classes for continuing education in an effort to maintain technical expertise in the fields of auto physical damage and property loss estimating.
  • Works under general supervision with a certain degree of creativity and latitude expected.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • A college degree or equivalent is required and 7+ years of multi-line and/or auto physical damage experience or related claims knowledge
  • Ability to read, problem solve and pay close attention to details.
  • Ability to listen and communicate to the customer, both orally and in writing in a professional manner.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Maintain technical expertise and knowledge of current trends and techniques in the market.
  • Must develop and maintain strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to advise and guide claim personnel in the scope, estimating and use of estimating software.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to organize and complete essential job functions on a daily basis.
  • Must possess the ability to work well with others

The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $98,000.00

Starting salary and level of position will depend on level of experience.

This position is not eligible for tips or commission but may be eligible for additional bonuses
