Full Job Description

The role of the Audit Senior Manager is to lead the audit process from planning to completion for clients as part of the company’s annual audit plan. Tasks will include leading the audit team, supervising the audit process, researching, reviewing current processes, and providing recommendations to enhance company policies and procedures. The Audit Senior Manager is responsible for reviewing the work of, as well as training, supporting, supervising, and motivating the audit team.  


Responsibilities
Possess thorough knowledge of all facets of the client’s business to ensure client understanding of engagement economics and to provide frequent updates
Own and monitor client relationships over the length of the engagement process 
Create a collaborative team environment and motivate the team through communication and actions
Actively communicate the progress of engagements, issues, and resolutions to clients and shareholders
Demonstrate the ability to identify complex issues and creatively resolve them 
Assume responsibility for all phases of client engagement and manage multiple audit projects simultaneously
Monitor engagement budgets and billing by reviewing reports and data and accurately communicating these findings 
Delegate and manage audit assignments to achieve accurate results 
Help to create opportunities to find new business in revenue-generating activities 
Participate in performance management; assess readiness for promotion of staff, senior, and manager levels
Assume responsibility for and provide direction and coaching to the audit team
Maintain familiarity with staff’s qualifications, review assignments for appropriateness

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 
5+ years of recent audit experience at a public accounting firm 
CPA Certification 
Successful experience in developing new or extended service opportunities with existing and/or prospective clients 
Strong oral and written communication skills  
Effective analytical and problem-solving ability 
Experience in hiring, developing, and leading a team of professional auditors 

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
