RRBB is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Audit Partner. This individual will serve as a key leader within the firm, managing high-level client relationships, ensuring compliance with all professional standards, and mentoring senior audit professionals. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience with various clients and demonstrate the ability to drive growth through client engagement, business development, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and oversight for the execution of complex attest engagements, including audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures (AUPs).
• Serve as engagement quality reviewer ensuring compliance and other relevant standards.
• Maintain and grow a personal book of business, identifying new client opportunities and expanding service offerings with existing clients.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients by delivering insights, mitigating risk, and ensuring timely resolution of complex accounting and auditing issues.
• Oversee and sign off on financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAS, SSARS, SSAE, and PCAOB standards.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to managers, seniors, and staff auditors; support career development and succession planning across the audit practice.
• Collaborate with other Partners and Directors to shape the firm's strategic initiatives, including technology adoption, process improvements, and service line development.
• Remain current on evolving technical guidance and regulatory changes, including those related to SEC reporting, independence, and industry-specific compliance.
• Represent the firm at professional and industry events; maintain active involvement in CPA and business organizations.
Qualifications:
• Active CPA license is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive public accounting experience, with a strong concentration in audit and attest services.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain executive-level client relationships and build business pipelines.
• Strong leadership presence, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with firm-level planning, budgeting, and performance measurement preferred.
• Proficiency with audit software platforms (e.g., CaseWare, CCH Engagement) and SEC reporting tools is strongly preferred.
Work Location: Primary work location is Somerset, NJ, with periodic travel to the New York City and Union offices. Hybrid arrangements based in New Jersey will be considered, provided the candidate is able to travel to all three locations as needed.
This position operates as part of a US East Coast-based team, with typical working hours aligning with EST to facilitate effective collaboration. We offer flexibility in managing your schedule to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting business needs.
