Position Profile

Weaver is looking for an Audit Director - Commercial. The Audit Director will assume overall responsibility for the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements, including multiple and complex audit engagements and other client assignments. This role is responsible for effectively managing engagement teams and client relationships to achieve the Firm's quality, performance, and Operating Plan objectives, including client retention, engagement profitability, and staff development and retention.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA with 10+ years of experience in public accounting
  • Possesses in-depth understanding of accounting standards and is highly knowledgeable about different methods of accounting, including financial reporting frameworks that are specific to industries
  • Ability to execute primary engagement oversight responsibilities as determined by firm quality control standard
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Skilled in relationship management and practice development
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams

Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:
  • Master's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Broad experience with various industries and audit engagements

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $150,000 to $260,000. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
