Recruitment Range: $91,249 - $103,184

This position assists the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), and other agencies as needed, with cases involving alleged work-related injuries to their employees. Some cases involve more complex factual and legal issues. Cases may involve multiple injuries, psychological injuries, extensive/unusual medical treatment, multiple issues, asbestosis claims, mold claims, serious occupational disease claims, extended benefits, death claims and post-traumatic stress disorder. These cases necessitate extensive investigation, expert testimony, and detailed trial preparation.

This attorney will be housed with the Department of Justice and will be responsible for advising the DPI Risk Manager as necessary.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Management prefers significant experience in workers' compensation litigation or experience in civil litigation.
