Job Description:

Job Summary
We are seeking an ATS Business Support Manager to lead a team supporting Caterpillar's Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) business. In this role, you will provide leadership, coaching, and development for a team focused on dealer and customer support, operational execution, and business process improvement. You will collaborate closely with sales, product, operations, and dealer-facing teams to strengthen customer relationships, enhance team capability, improve documentation and processes, and support the continued growth of the business.

What You Will Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team supporting the ATS business and dealer network.
  • Drive team performance through training, mentoring, and continuous development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, customers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Improve and maintain business processes, documentation, and operational tools.
  • Support new product introductions and business growth initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities, solve business challenges, and help shape strategy.

  • Tactical and Strategic Planning: Working knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational, tactical and strategic planning in support of the overall business plan.
    • Monitors progress of work against plan as required to meet objectives.
    • Reports variances and makes agreed-upon corrections.


  • Problem Solving: Working knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
    • Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.
    • Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.


  • Customer/Market Focus: Working knowledge and understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value.
    • Focuses product and service features and functions on the customer's critical success factors.
    • Delivers customer value within parameters of profitability and other targets.


  • Managing People: Working knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.
    • Reviews progress and performance of employees; addresses bottlenecks or concerns impending employee growth.
    • Works with employees to set and define performance standards and career development goals; supports in achieving them.


What Will Put You Ahead
  • Manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting dealer or customer-facing organizations.
  • Knowledge of ATS, switchgear, electric power, or related products.
  • Process improvement and team development experience.


Additional Information
  • This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
  • Travel up to 10% is possible.
  • Relocation is available for this position.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
