ResponsibilitiesBE A PART OF THE CONNECTIONAs a
Senior Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for strategic direction and management of the engineering staff and facilities, across various platforms, in various locations, with varying degrees of technology. You will also create, implement and enhance consistent engineering practices to ensure stable product delivery consistent with company initiatives and expectations.

While directing project planning, capital budgeting and business plan development, you will be ensuring a high degree of cross functional communication in line with product deployment and support. Your work will assist in the expansion of Charter's growing network.
QualificationsWHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUMRequired Qualifications
- Experience: Management experience of at least nine years, engineering and/or network operations experience of at least twelve years, project management experience of at least five years
- Education: Master's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- Technical Skills: Advanced Knowledge of HFC, Advanced Video, IP Networks, and Telephony, knowledge of all FCC compliance reports and other rules and regulations, comprehensive understanding of applicable local and state rules and regulations, comprehensive understanding of OSHA rules and regulations, both federal and state, comprehensive understanding of HVAC and power distribution systems, advanced knowledge of Analog Transmission Line Theory, Electronic theory, Fiber Optic theory, and National Electric Code and National Electric Safety Code
- Abilities: Able to handle multiple projects and tasks, able to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure, able to supervise and motivate others, able to use personal computer and software applications
- Skills: Effective leadership skills, organizational agility, strategic agility, strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, etc.), industry and vendor specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E)
