Full Job Description
Opportunity to grow small animal services in beautiful southcentral Missouri!

Barn Hollow Vet Service's small animal caseload is ready to grow-it just needs a veterinarian who can give it focused attention rather than fitting it around cattle calls. This is the opportunity: a dedicated small animal role within a team where large animal medicine is already well covered, giving you the space and support to build something meaningful.

Highlights
  • A close-knit team where large and small animal medicine both receive dedicated focus
  • A rare chance to expand an established small animal practice with a loyal client base
  • Small-town life in the Missouri Ozarks, with scenic riverways, wild horses, and Springfield less than two hours away

About This Role

As our dedicated small animal veterinarian, you'll lead routine wellness care, vaccinations, diagnostics, and elective soft tissue surgeries-including spays, neuters, and more-with the support to grow the caseload over time instead of fitting it around large animal appointments. Your days will be busy and steady, with work-ins and the occasional emergency, but still balanced enough to keep lunch breaks a reality.

About You

You'll thrive here if you're a small animal veterinarian who wants to build strong client relationships, practice quality medicine, and be part of a team that values both skill and heart.
  • Patient-Focused Clinician: You enjoy combining strong diagnostic, treatment, and preventive-care skills to help pets live healthier lives.
  • Confident Surgical Interest: You see routine surgery as a meaningful part of practice and are excited to keep growing your skills
  • Genuine Compassion: You help pets and their people feel heard, supported, and cared for through every visit.
  • Adaptable Problem-Solver: You can stay steady and solutions-focused when the schedule shifts, work-ins appear, or the day brings something unexpected.
  • Collaborative Teammate: You communicate clearly, build trust with clients and staff, and contribute to a team culture where people support one another.

Our Location

Barn Hollow Veterinary Services is located in Mountain View, Missouri, a welcoming Ozarks community of about 2,600 people. Set near the Ozark Scenic Riverways and three bands of wild horses, the area draws visitors for its natural beauty and outdoor recreation.

Camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, horseback riding, and hunting are all close by, along with natural springs and historic sites.

A small municipal airport sits just behind the clinic, with Springfield-and its major airport-about 1 hour and 45 minutes away. West Plains, the nearest larger town with roughly 12,000 residents, is about 30 minutes from the clinic.

Our Offer
  • Full-Time Salary Range ($90,000 - $120,000) - top of range reflects participation in general/elective soft tissue surgery
  • Professional Dues: 3 per year
  • Professional liability provided
  • CE Allowance: $3000 biennial
  • Competitive PTO plan
  • Full Benefits Package (Health, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Life, Accident, + more!)
  • 401K with employer match (after 90 days)
  • Up to eight weeks PAID parental leave* (after 6 months)
  • Accelerated ownership opportunity with our Associate Equity Program!

*6 weeks paid medical recovery time for birth mothers + 2 weeks paid bonding time for all parents
