Essential ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Be Doing- Examine, diagnose, and treat companion animals
- Develop treatment plans and discuss care options with clients
- Perform soft-tissue surgery and dentistry
- Interpret diagnostics including in-house lab work, digital radiographs, and ultrasound
- Prescribe medications and recommend preventative care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Provide compassionate end-of-life counseling
- Practice medicine in compliance with veterinary ethics and applicable regulations
Requirements/QualificationsRequirements & Qualifications- DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited program
- Eligible for or currently holding Alabama veterinary licensure
- Eligibility to obtain DEA and BNDD registration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently, with team assistance for larger patients
