DVM degree or equivalent from an accredited university
Active veterinary state license (or ability to obtain one)
DEA license and USDA accreditation preferred but not required
Experience in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry
Willingness to learn about exotic pet medicine if not already proficient
Responsibilities
Provide veterinary care to small and exotic pets
Perform surgeries and dental procedures
Manage patient health and treatment plans
Educate pet owners on care and prevention
Collaborate with team members to improve patient care
