Description

SAIC is seeking an Associate Test Engineer to support The Blue Swordfish Project (BSP). The ideal candidate will test and integrate sensors on autonomous platforms and conducts at-sea testing/demonstrations supporting various maritime missions. The Associate Test Engineer will support project related Test and Evaluation activities on developmental maritime autonomous platforms and systems. In this role, you will be working with Blue Swordfish team leaders and other staff to support testing needs.

Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific, Code 564 provides expertise to program sponsors in the areas of design, development, installation, test and evaluation of various maritime and autonomous systems.

SAIC is under contract to provide support to NIWC-PAC and the Blue Swordfish effort.

This Role is Hybrid in San Diego, CA with approximately 15% of travel involved. Must be local to area.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Support the development of test plans, test methods, test cases and test procedures.
  • Support the creation of test diagrams, and equipment configurations that capture test configurations
  • Conduct walk-throughs on test plans, test methods, test cases, and test procedures
  • Support the execution of test plans, test cases and test procedures to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
  • Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment.
  • Support the documentation of test results.
  • Support the analysis of test results and aids in the resolution of open issues.
  • Reports progress on problem resolution to leaders.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, or engineering from an accredited college or university. Years of experience in lieu of degree to be reviewed.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance after start.
  • Experience with Linux OS, Java, C++, Python, or/and Agile
  • Experienced in test and evaluation of complex systems
  • Experience in writing test plans and procedures, creating test diagrams, capturing test configurations, and executing tests
  • Organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
