Associate Systems Engineer
Boeing Defense, Space and Security is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer in the Oklahoma City, OK in support of the E-7 program. This position within the Safety, Certification, and Performance (SC&P) organization will implement and use systems engineering principles to develop, integrate, and execute airworthiness certification strategies for the Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) platform. The candidate will be a member of a dynamic and diverse Systems Engineering team.
Position Responsibilities:
Support certification execution in accordance with the established Military Commercial Derivative FAA and TAA airworthiness certification basis
Develop and integrate strategic solutions as it relates to airworthiness certification
Identify, develop, and maintain improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of airworthiness requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management
Coordination with members of the Boeing Organization Designation Authorization (ODA), including E-UMs, I-UMs, and PAs across multiple disciplines
Apply knowledge in Systems Engineering, with ability to apply Systems Engineering Management processes and best practices, including the V-Model
Create planning and drive transparent completion across multiple disciplines using project engineering principles, which includes creation of status trackers and KPI metrics, and ability to present data to multiple levels of leadership
Support preparation and present analyses and reports for government/customer & boards, working groups, and program design reviews
This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
2+ years of engineering experience
1+ years of experience working in an FAA or USAF Airworthiness project
1+ years of experience working across organizations and cross-functional groups to ensure project coordination, implementation and completion
Ability to apply a high level of detail and critical thinking skills to develop complex and executable certification strategies.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Ability to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to planning, designing, developing, and verifying basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
Experience with FAA Order 8110.101A and USAF AWB-360
Experience in collaborating with regulatory agencies such as the FAA, and those in a delegated role such as Engineering and Inspection Unit Members

Summary pay range:
Associate Level - $85,000 – $115,000
Oklahoma Tax:
If you have an engineering degree from an ABET accredited college and are not currently working in the aerospace sector in Oklahoma, you may qualify for a $5000 tax credit from the state of Oklahoma for up to five years. for more information on the tax credit.
