Associate Systems Engineer
Position Responsibilities:- Supports cross-functional teams through the development and integration of large-scale multi-system projects.
- Work with multiple airplane systems including Environmental Controls Systems, Mechanical Hydraulics, Flight Controls, Electrical Sub-Systems, Electrical Design and Standards, Flight Deck, Cabin Systems, Network Systems, Avionics Systems, and Cyber Security and will lead these teams through a variety of complex projects.
- Collaborate with airplane safety, regulatory administration, and various 787 program teams such as change management, supply chain, production engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, and delivery centers.
- Implements systems engineering best practices, and process improvements.
- Working knowledge of the aircraft certification process
- Able to lead by influence outside formal reporting relationships
- Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse engineering team in order to synthesize complex information
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to communicate technical and project recommendations to executive management
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- This position is for first shift and 100% onsite
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry
- 2+ years of experience developing airplane systems or integrating complex systems
- 2+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): - ABET accredited degree
- 3+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's OR 2+ years with a Master's degree.
- 2+ years in the Aerospace Industry experience
- Experience working with and collaborating with executive leadership
- Experience supporting production and factory
- Experience supporting airline customers
