Full Job Description
Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist of Immunology to join our therapeutic discovery team. The candidate will focus on hands-on benchwork using in vitro and ex vivo experimental approaches. The candidate must be independent, goal oriented, technically competent and able to efficiently work across multiple projects. We are searching for enthusiastic, innovative, and highly motivated individuals, with scientific background in immunology, cancer immunotherapy, and/or autoimmune diseases, who are comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently design and execute in vitro assays to evaluate immune cell function, including multi-color flow cytometry, cytotoxicity assays and other functional readouts under the guidance of scientists
  • Conduct ex vivo analysis of immune cells through tissue processing and downstream assays and analyses
  • Develop, execute, and troubleshoot experimental protocols under the guidance of senior members on the team, and maintain accurate and timely electronic laboratory notebook records
  • Analyze and communicate experimental data at team meetings

Qualifications:
  • BS or MS degree in biology, immunology, bioengineering or related discipline with 6+ year of relevant industry experience in immunology and/or immunotherapy.
  • Strong experimental skills, including tissue culture, primary immune cell culture, flow cytometry, immunoassay development, and ex vivo mouse model and NHP sample processing
  • Experience with non-viral delivery technologies and nucleic acid modalities is preferred
  • Experience with primary human and/or NHP T cells is preferred
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working with highly technical projects and personnel
  • Highly adaptable and responsive to delivering challenging commitments

The salary range for this role is $96,000 - $126,500. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Serif Biomedicines currently offers healthcare coverage, annual incentive program, retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits.
