Job Description:

We are seeking a Process Engineer with a focus in Welding to join our Manufacturing team in Canoga Park, CA. At our Canoga Park, CA (Los Angeles area) facility, we design & manufacture rocket engines and unique power systems that support space exploration & the defense of our nation such as NASA's SLS, Lockheed Martin's THAAD, Sierra Nevada's Dream Chaser, and the Mars Perseverance Rover.

Essential Functions:

  • Troubleshoot critical weldments ensuring best practices for weld fit-up, cleanliness requirements and weld parameters are followed.
  • Document best practices to support production.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and disposition discrepant hardware.
  • Accurately report problems, solutions, and results.
  • Communicate effectively between team members and customer counterparts.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related welding experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related welding experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Previous experience E.B welding, manual, In-Place-Tube and/or Automatic GTAW.
  • Experience working with Torch Weld Jigs (TWJ), setting weldments up for exact shrinkages to fit TWJ post weld.
  • Experience with weld specifications.
  • Working with D17.1 or Journeyman Weld certifications.
  • Moving large structures or hardware.


In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is 64,500.00 - $120,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
