Process Engineer with a focus in Welding to join our Manufacturing team in
Canoga Park, CA. At our Canoga Park, CA (Los Angeles area) facility, we design & manufacture rocket engines and unique power systems that support space exploration & the defense of our nation such as NASA's SLS, Lockheed Martin's THAAD, Sierra Nevada's Dream Chaser, and the Mars Perseverance Rover.
Essential Functions:- Troubleshoot critical weldments ensuring best practices for weld fit-up, cleanliness requirements and weld parameters are followed.
- Document best practices to support production.
- Assist with root cause analysis and disposition discrepant hardware.
- Accurately report problems, solutions, and results.
- Communicate effectively between team members and customer counterparts.
Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related welding experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related welding experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:- Previous experience E.B welding, manual, In-Place-Tube and/or Automatic GTAW.
- Experience working with Torch Weld Jigs (TWJ), setting weldments up for exact shrinkages to fit TWJ post weld.
- Experience with weld specifications.
- Working with D17.1 or Journeyman Weld certifications.
- Moving large structures or hardware.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is 64,500.00 - $120,500.00.
