Position descriptionThe Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences within the School of Medicine at UC San Diego is committed to academic excellence among its faculty, staff, and student body and is seeking an accomplished physician-scientist and visionary leader to serve as the Division Director of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI). As UC San Diego continues to expand its clinical, research, and academic missions, the Division Director will play a pivotal role in advancing a nationally recognized program that spans reproductive endocrinology and infertility, in vitro fertilization, fertility preservation, reproductive surgery, oncofertility, polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, fibroids, and reproductive biology research.

Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Candidates must have an MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
Candidates must be board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI).
Candidates must have current clinical practice experience across the full spectrum of REI care.
Candidates must have at least five years of clinical experience in REI.
Candidates must have a strong publication record, demonstrated by at least 40 peer-reviewed publications in relevant scientific or clinical journals.
Candidates must have five years of leadership experience and five years of experience within an academic medical center.
Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
Preferred qualifications Candidates with a record of securing extramural research funding are preferred.
Candidates with experience building collaborative research programs and mentoring faculty are preferred.
Candidates with experience driving programmatic growth and fostering innovation within an academic health system are also preferred.
