Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

  • Provide mechanical engineering support for both new product development activities as well as factory support of existing products


  • Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation


  • Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECO's) as required.


Qualifications:

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field or have completed their Bachelor's degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.


Preferred Skills:

  • CAD or analysis (FEA) tools exposure, and/or experience in mechanical design or analysis of electronic systems, structures and mechanisms


  • Must be able to apply the principles of Structural Mechanics to predict internal stresses and structural instabilities


  • Familiarity with finite element methods and fatigue


  • Familiarity with finite element methods and fatigue and damage tolerance principles


In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $68,000 - $126,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
