Associate Manufacturing Engineer Job Summary:The Associate Manufacturing Engineer applies engineering principles to optimize production processes, improve product quality, and support new product introductions. This role uses independent judgment and problem-solving skills to design efficient manufacturing processes, ensure compliance with engineering standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The position requires intellectual, professional work that contributes to engineering solutions and process improvements.
Responsibilities and Duties: - Develop, maintain, and improve assembly and production processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Analyze manufacturing workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, process standardization, and error reduction.
- Translate engineered designs into manufacturable assemblies using engineering principles and advanced knowledge of materials, tooling, and equipment.
- Provide technical guidance to production and assembly personnel regarding proper use of tools, equipment, and methods.
- Participate in design reviews, providing feedback on manufacturability, cost, and process feasibility.
- Apply engineering principles to resolve production issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, routings, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with design, quality, procurement, and operations teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend equipment, tools, and fixtures to optimize production processes.
- Support new product introductions by analyzing production requirements and contributing engineering solutions to achieve efficient scale-up.
Required Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
- 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related technical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to evaluate production issues and recommend engineering solutions that improve process efficiency and quality.
- Proficiency with engineering tools, software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development in engineering practices.
Desired Qualifications and Skills: - Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, process optimization, or ERP/MRP systems.
- Familiarity with electro-mechanical manufacturing, sheet metal, plastics, or PCB assembly.
