[MULTIPLE POSITIONS] Avanade Inc. seeks Senior Consultants, Technical Advisory in Houston, TX to play an integral part in defining how Avanade views and perceives the marketplace in categories for which we offer Advisory services to our clients. In this role, you will: operate within teams to assess the client Infrastructure environment (current issues, standards, technology, tooling, processes, capabilities, operating model and ongoing transformation); support teams to create the future state IT infrastructure strategy that addresses all stakeholder agreed issues and change requirements, taking into account business strategy, guiding principles and ongoing transformation projects; design customer flows/customer journey analysis; apply knowledge of business models, business and consumer technologies for implementation plans/IT improvement approaches and research methods; support vendor selection and procurement engagements by providing a mix of technical and analytical expertise to build requirements; coordinate with work efforts on a variety of projects, which includes information gathering used to evaluate client business environments and economic factors; and provide pre-sales support which consists of understanding client requirements, building proposals, building statements of work, and creating effort and resourcing plans. Periodic travel to client sites (domestic) is expected up to 80% of the time. Must live w/in reasonable commuting distance of Houston, TX.

Compensation at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Avanade provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired as set forth below. The offered salary range for this specific position in TX is $129,000-$130,000 per year. Any multi-state or general compensation ranges displayed below do not apply to this position.

Basic Qualifications:

The position requires at least a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or related technical field and at least five (5) years of experience as a Senior Consultant, Technical Advisory, or in a similar role delivering IT advisory solutions to clients operating within the energy sector or on energy-related initiatives. A qualified applicant's experience must include the following skills: 5 years of experience in business analysis and financial reporting, including interpreting business models, collecting requirements, designing solutions, and collaborating with developers to implement them; 5 years of experience in procurement and contract assurance, covering full procurement cycles, response management, technical and non-technical contract assurance, and infrastructure solution deployment; 5 years of experience utilizing Energy Management software and Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) systems using D365 Finance, Azure, and/or Endur; 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud services, including lifecycle support, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Power Platform, and ServiceNow; 5 years of experience using cloud services, including solution development, system integration, and performance optimization across enterprise environments; 5 years of experience leading global teams, including onshore/offshore coordination and facilitating project work across international stakeholders; and 5 years of experience communicating complex technical concepts, including presenting creative solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and identifying system performance improvements.
