An outstanding and challenging opportunity is available for an Associate Manager, Financial Reporting, within the Individual Retirement Controllers Team. This role will support the Retirement and U.S. Legacy Product segments with financial reporting and analysis on both a GAAP and Statutory basis.

Team description: The Individual Retirement Financial Controllership team oversees the completeness and accuracy of financial reporting and analysis for U.S. GAAP and Statutory reporting, as well as related quarterly close deliverables. The team focuses on the Individual Retirement businesses and works closely with Business Unit Finance, Capital, P&A, and other Corporate teams to provide financial insights to senior management and support accurate PFI disclosures.

The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence 3 days per week. Your manager will provide additional details relative to days you are expected to be on-site

What you’ll do:

  • Understand and prepare quarterly and annual financial reporting-related deliverables on both a GAAP and Statutory reporting basis
  • Ensure financial statements are reasonable and communicated in a timely manner, supported by well-controlled underlying processes
  • Analyze trends and variances across the business segment income statements and balance sheets
  • Provide support and analysis for SEC 10-Q and 10-K filings
  • Support various reinsurance arrangements and analytics
  • Support ad hoc requests related to strategic initiatives
  • Help drive continuous process enhancements and efficiencies

What you’ll need:

  • Strong collaborative, communication, and partnering skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with PFI’s financial reporting tools are required
  • Demonstrated ability to thoughtfully analyze, assess, challenge, and influence
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines under challenging time frames
  • Highly motivated and creative problem solver; strategic thinker on financial matters
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferable)
  • Knowledge of insurance accounting and actuarial concepts is a plus

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $89,000.00 to $147,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
