The Position

Associate International Product Manager - Sequencing Systems

The Opportunity:
The Associate International Product Manager, Sequencing System, is responsible for supporting the comprehensive global strategy for the AXELIOS 1 Platform.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

The key accountabilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Define and direct short-term execution and long-term vision for the AXELIOS 1 Platform to maintain competitiveness across evolving Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) applications.

  • Requirement Prioritization: Gather, refine, and prioritize core product requirements across established and prospective customer segments to align with market demands.

  • Lifecycle & Operations Management: Establish operational frameworks governing New Product Introductions (NPI), on-market portfolio maintenance, and end-of-life obsolescence strategies.

  • Business & Demand Forecasting: Lead business case evaluations, business reviews, and demand forecasting for instruments and consumables to optimize inventory control.

  • Global Commercial Enablement: Design and implement global training frameworks, field guides, and sales tools to equip commercial teams for diverse customer engagements.

  • Cross-Affiliate Alignment: Partner with international affiliates and downstream marketing to localize messaging, pricing structures, and promotional calendars.

  • Competitive & Market Intelligence: Track emerging NGS methodologies, monitor vendor landscapes, and conduct competitive benchmarking to identify portfolio gaps and commercial opportunities.

  • Customer-Centric Innovation: Synthesize field intelligence and customer insights to continuously refine product messaging, drive platform adoption, and enhance product lifecycles.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with R&D, Bioinformatics, Software, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure technical specifications match customer expectations and broader corporate goals.

Who You Are:

The following are requirements for the individual in this position:

  • University degree in Marketing, Science, Business or related technical discipline

  • 1 - 2 years of product management experience in life sciences, diagnostic and/or pharmaceutical industry.  Next generation sequencing experience is a plus.

  • Experience with product lifecycle management: new product development,  on-market operational support, and product obsolescence strategy.

  • Capability to communicate effectively across different levels, with proven capability in designing and delivering formal presentations.

  • Demonstrates strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven ability to proactively co-create solutions with key stakeholders.

Location: Remote – This position can be based anywhere in the US.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Pleasanton, CA is $109,100- $202,500.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
