An excellent opportunity exists within the growing Tomahawk Program finance team in Tucson, AZ. We are seeking a Financial Program Controls Associate Director to lead the Tomahawk Munitions Acceleration efforts.  Scope includes strategic oversight and leadership of the multi-year capture opportunity which involves unique contract reporting, geometry and financial planning. 

This role also presides over significant customer and company investment planning including Test Equipment Upgrades, Obsolescence Redesign efforts, Capital and Supplier rate increases that are required to support significant increases to program build rates. 

Tomahawk sales are projected to be greater than $1.5B for 2027, with the year-over-year upside coming from the acceleration and capacity efforts led by this role.  To be successful in this role, you must be able to communicate effectively with Control Account Managers (CAMs), Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads, program and finance leadership, Supply Chain MPMs, and Operations.

This role requires a motivated self-starter individual, that is capable of working independently and driving efforts to completion.  Frequent interaction with various functions and multiple levels of the organization will be needed, so the successful candidate must possess strong presentation, communication, and professional skills. Finance serves as a critical business partner by providing analysis, insight, and guidance to enable strategic decision making and achieve bottom-line results.

What You Will Do

  • Strategic leadership of a record capture opportunity with industry unique financial elements.
  • Oversight of company investment required to support capacity rate increases from a cost and schedule perspective.
  • Support the monthly financial planning forecast / close process (Rplan).
  • Develop and support Quarterly Estimate-at-Completion (EAC).
  • Interaction with leadership to status project status and schedule commitments.
  • Provide financial guidance to Factory Operations Managers, IPT leads, and SCM functions.
  • Communication of forecast commitments to program team and communication of risk and opportunities to that plan to program leadership.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly variance and data analysis.
  • Provide cost, schedule, financial analysis/reporting, funding planning, maintenance and reporting utilizing standard company tools and processes.
  • Review EAC inputs, presentations, and proposals for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or related business field or equivalent experience and a minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience working finance/accounting OR an advanced degree in a related field and minimum of 10 years finance/accounting experience.
  • Prior program or project leadership experience
  • Program Controls experience with data analysis, reporting and/or process improvement.
  • Hands-On experience with SAP Business Systems, BW Toolset, RPlan, PMX, EDIT+ or similar business systems.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Program FP&A forecasting (Sales, Bookings, Profit, Cash).
  • Inquisitive (and acts on it) with strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Experience with current DoD regulations associated with FAR/DFARS/TINA/CAS.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
