Raytheon is seeking an Associate Director of Production Control for the MCU (Machining, Cables, and Undersea) Product Center team located in Andover, MA. Reporting to the Director of Production Control and Logistics, this position is a key member of the Operations Leadership Team responsible for overseeing production control, material planning, and work-in-process management to ensure successful customer delivery. The role will lead a team of approximately 35-40 employees.

This position requires strong cross-functional leadership skills, operational expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment. The Associate Director will collaborate with teams across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain, and Logistics to meet cost, quality, and schedule objectives while championing innovative solutions for material management.

What You Will Do
  • Lead and manage a team to drive performance management, goal setting, career development, and training initiatives.
  • Oversee workforce matters across varying levels to sustain a workplace focused on safety, collaboration, and performance excellence.
  • Build and lead cross-functional teams, leveraging operations and program management expertise to optimize production processes within a complex, high-technology environment.
  • Develop and implement process improvements and cost-saving measures utilizing Raytheon CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) practices.
  • Monitor operations and deploy strategies to support on-time delivery, material availability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive operational improvements through metrics-based management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a key enabler of strategic growth by collaborating with senior leadership across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Execute projects and deliverables on tight deadlines with precision and efficiency.
  • This will be an onsite role in our Andover, MA facility.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience.
  • Experience in Production Control, Planning, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or other production schedule-driven environments.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience leading daily team operations and/or comparable leadership experience.


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience leading in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment with a focus on managing collective bargaining workforces.
  • Experience in Special Program Access and other business systems, including shop floor data systems.
  • Experience in Six Sigma, CORE, Lean Manufacturing processes, diagnostics, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience driving financial performance, cost reduction, staffing, and budgeting.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
