Associate Director of Care (ADOC) to join our compassionate team at The Mayfair Senior Living + Care in Abbotsford. As an ADOC, you will lead by example, coordinating and supervising direct resident care activities to ensure that our residents receive the highest quality of care in a safe and respectful environment. You'll work closely with our Director of Care (DOC) and other departments to continually assess and improve our services.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess residents' needs and develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans.
- Liaise with physicians, community agencies, families, and volunteers to ensure holistic care.
- Lead and coordinate the annual Interdisciplinary Care Conference and Medication Review meetings.
- Conduct monthly audits and identify areas for improvement, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Assist in identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives within the facility.
- Deliver education and presentations to staff throughout the year, ensuring ongoing professional development.
- Coach nursing and care staff on MDS, PointClickCare (PCC), and Point of Care practices.
- Participate in JOHS and Infection Control meetings, contributing to a culture of safety.
- Support the orientation and integration of new employees into the team.
- Foster a safe environment for both residents and staff.
- Support TCG Quality Improvement and accreditation initiatives.
Qualifications:- Graduate of an approved nursing school with current active registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- BSN preferred or a combination of nursing experience and additional education.
- Proven experience in caring for frail elderly and physically/mentally challenged individuals.
- Previous gerontological nursing experience (5 years preferred).
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
