We're looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, changing environment. In this high-impact role, you will lead long-term logistics network strategy. You will own network design governance, scenario modeling, and cost-to-serve analytics to ensure the logistics supply chain supports growth, profitability, and service goals.

What You Will Do

  • Develop 3-5 year logistics network strategy focused around right sizing the distribution footprint servicing manufacturing as well as aftermarket networks.
  • Perform cost-to-serve and scenario modeling, including data collection, analysis and proposal development.
  • Conduct market, customer, and demand trend analysis.
  • Lead footprint studies (new DCs, closures, consolidations).
  • Create executive presentations and business cases.
  • Govern design standards and decision frameworks.
  • In conjunction with the strategic sourcing team, establish network KPIs and value tracking processes.
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Real Estate, and business stakeholders to balance short-term savings initiatives with optimization and transformational value add solutions for RTX customers and shareholders.
  • Develop capital investment proposals and ROI analysis. Lead the implementation of network changes.
  • Influence and drive change across multiple businesses, functions and geographies.
  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of logistics and sourcing professionals across multiple business units.• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.• Serve as a key liaison between logistics, supply chain, finance, and executive leadership.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in logistics network optimization and strategy and supply chain consulting, or related roles within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
  • Experience managing cross-functional and cross-business unit teams.
  • Operational experience in multi-site warehouse and distribution management.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Expertise in network optimization tools (LLamasoft, AIMMS, Coupa, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills including developing business cases.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in strategy or supply chain consulting is a plus.
  • Project management, change management and transition management abilities.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
