Associate Director, Government Technologies

Role Overview

In this role, you will support the operational and financial health of the Government Technologies organization and its projects. You will help lead the group across sales, operations, and support functions by strengthening best practices, improving processes, coordinating work schedules, and ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds service level commitments.

You will also help maintain procedures and controls that keep GT projects aligned with contract requirements, performance standards, budgets, and schedules. Success in this role depends on strong customer relationships, close collaboration with branch offices, effective subcontractor management, and a disciplined focus on quality, safety, cost, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to the GT Operations Director and help drive the overall health of the Government Technologies organization.
  • Directly manage the GT Customer Care Team and support team performance, productivity, and service levels.
  • Establish and enforce best practices across sales, operations, and support functions.
  • Support design and implementation of project management process improvements that strengthen fiscal control, customer satisfaction, and contractual compliance.
  • Supervise field installation activities as needed to help ensure execution aligns with project expectations.
  • Implement corporate and group initiatives, including process improvements and new system roll-outs.
  • Support company initiatives and training that reinforce operational health and ethics.
  • Lead, manage, direct, and develop technical and project team members in effective project management practices and techniques.
  • Assist with budget management to help the group meet and exceed corporate targets.
  • Coordinate with corporate accounting, procurement, and supply chain functions to support operational execution.
  • Participate in business development activities, including win strategy development, operational proposal responses, and proposal reviews.
  • Manage internal and external audits related to operational activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer management, JCI branch offices, and subcontractors to support efficient and profitable business outcomes.


How You Will Do It

  • Win as one team by collaborating across operations, accounting, procurement, supply chain, branch offices, subcontractors, and customer stakeholders.
  • Use clear communication, coaching, and follow-up to help team members perform at a high level and develop strong project management habits.
  • Apply structured controls and review routines to keep work on schedule, within budget, and aligned to contract requirements.
  • Use data, observations, and audit findings to support practical decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities, unexpected demands, and evolving project conditions while keeping work organized and professional.
