About the role

The Associate Director, Field Training is responsible for designing and delivering high-impact training programs that enable the commercial field organization to execute with excellence. This role serves as the strategic link between Commercial Leadership, Marketing, Medical, and the field-ensuring that all training is aligned, compliant, and directly tied to business outcomes. As CG Oncology prepares for launch and scale, this role will build and lead a best-in-class, modern training ecosystem that drives readiness, reinforces critical capabilities, and sustains long-term field performance in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Essential Functions

Field Training Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and execute the enterprise field training strategy aligned to commercial priorities and launch readiness
  • Translate brand and commercial strategies into field-facing curricula, learning journeys, and role-based programs
  • Lead new hire onboarding and continuous learning across field roles
  • Build capabilities across disease state, product, clinical, selling skills, and account management

Launch Readiness & Enablement
  • Own training strategy and execution for product launches
  • Partner with Marketing and Medical to ensure compliant and differentiated messaging
  • Design and deploy certification programs and readiness assessments
  • Identify and mitigate field readiness risks and gaps

Training Design, Innovation & Delivery
  • Develop high-impact training content across formats
  • Lead adoption of AI-enabled role play, simulations, and microlearning
  • Own the commercial learning technology ecosystem, including Brainshark, Microsoft Copilot, CRM learning tools, Power BI dashboards, AI coaching platforms, and future learning technologies
  • Ensure scalability and quality of training assets
  • Deliver national and regional training programs

Field Feedback & Continuous Improvement
  • Serve as voice of the field to inform training priorities
  • Establish feedback loops with field leadership
  • Optimize programs using performance data and insights

Performance Coaching & Manager Enablement
  • Develop reinforcement strategies that sustain behavior change through manager coaching, AI insights, field observations, and ongoing performance support
  • Design leadership development programs that strengthen Regional Business Director coaching effectiveness and accountability
  • Partner with field leadership to create coaching resources that improve commercial execution and customer engagement

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Compliance, HR, and Commercial Operations
  • Ensure alignment between training, brand strategy, and field execution
  • Support POAs, national meetings, and commercial milestones
  • Partner with the Head of Learning & Development to define the long-term vision, priorities, and evolution of the Commercial Learning function

Measurement, Governance & Impact
  • Define and track training effectiveness metrics tied to business outcomes, not training completion alone
  • Partner with Commercial Operations to link training to performance KPIs
  • Develop launch readiness dashboards and performance reporting to monitor organizational preparedness
  • Ensure MLR compliance for all training content
  • Establish governance for consistent training deployment

Capability Building & Innovation Differentiation
  • Drive behavior change and capability development
  • Lead AI-enabled training innovation
  • Support long-term capability building beyond launch
