Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 7:00a-3:30p

Summary:


Assists in the management and training of the Environmental Services (EVS) and Logistics departments for the MetroHealth System. Provides executive oversight of the EVS and Logistics operations, patient satisfaction initiatives, workforce development, training, quality assurance programs, regulatory readiness and employee engagement strategies. Helps ensure the EVS & Logistics functions comply with The Joint Commission® (TJC) and other regulatory, accreditation, and inspection agency requirements, guidelines, and standards. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology or related field and 3 years of relevant hospital experience. In lieu of degree, 7 years of relevant hospital experience.
  • Demonstrated supervisory/management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EVS & Logistics practices.
  • Must obtain a Certified Environmental Services Executive (CESE) Certification from the International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) within a year of beginning employment and maintain through duration of employment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Budget, project management, and strategic planning skills and experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional self-development.
  • Proven leadership, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database skills and experience.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.


Preferred:

  • Hospital experience in EVS & Logistics fields.
  • Experience using an EVS & Logistics database or reporting system (Smart Inspect, Epic Rover, Tableau, etc.).


Physical Demands:

  • May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating.
  • May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.
  • Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
  • Ability to read job related documents.
  • Ability to use computer.
