Job Title: Associate Director Corporate Communications

Location: Parsippany, NJ

Type: Direct Hire - full time permanent direct with our client

Compensation: $135,000.00 - $170,000.00

Work Model: Hybrid - onsite Tuesday and Thursday


Join a growing biopharmaceutical organization where communications plays a critical role in shaping corporate reputation, supporting key business milestones, and translating complex science into meaningful stories. This is an opportunity to work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to drive both external and internal communications initiatives across a fast-paced, highly visible environment.

Prior related pharmaceutical experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated corporate communications strategies that support company priorities, pipeline milestones, and brand positioning.
  • Manage media relations activities, including drafting press releases, building relationships with healthcare and industry media, and supporting proactive outreach.
  • Translate complex scientific, clinical, and corporate data into accessible messaging for diverse stakeholders including media, investors, healthcare professionals, and patients.
  • Design and implement internal communications initiatives to promote company culture, organizational alignment, and change management efforts.
  • Support crisis and issues management by preparing communication strategies and materials for sensitive situations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, HR, Commercial, and Executive teams to ensure compliant and aligned messaging.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop presentations, speeches, and leadership messaging to enhance corporate reputation and visibility.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and mitigate reputational risks.
  • Support communications related to clinical milestones, regulatory updates, corporate announcements, and scientific presentations.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-8+ years of experience in corporate communications within biotech, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to support corporate reputation, executive communications, media relations, and internal initiatives.
  • Experience translating complex scientific and clinical data into clear, compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of communications within a regulated healthcare or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, media monitoring tools, collaboration platforms, and digital communication channels.
  • Ability to independently develop high-quality PowerPoint presentations with structured flow.
  • Travel up to 10% domestically for meetings, conferences, and events.
