General Description:

Reporting to the Head/Director of COHERE (Collaborative Operations for Health Engagement. Representation, and Enrollment), the Associate Director will support the development and operationalization of BeOne’s COHERE strategy to advance patient access to clinical research across the clinical trial lifecycle.

The Associate Director will translate COHERE strategic priorities into actionable approaches across study planning, strategic feasibility, site strategy, patient and community insights, clinical trial education, enrollment support, and performance measurement. The role will leverage data, patient journey insights, site capabilities, and external partnerships to identify and address barriers to clinical trial participation and support informed patient access to BeOne clinical research.

Working cross-functionally across Global Clinical Operations (GCO), Clinical Development, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Corporate Affairs, and other relevant functions, the Associate Director will help embed patient access considerations into study planning and execution while building trusted relationships with research sites, healthcare institutions, community organizations, and other external stakeholders.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Support the Head of COHERE in the development, implementation, and continued evolution of the COHERE strategy and operating model.
  • Translate COHERE strategic priorities into scalable operational approaches across BeOne’s portfolio and pipeline.
  • Integrate patient access considerations into early study planning, strategic feasibility, site strategy, study execution, and enrollment planning.
  • Leverage epidemiology, real-world data, patient journey insights, social determinants of health, geographic considerations, and site capabilities to identify barriers and opportunities for patient access.
  • Develop and utilize tools, dashboards, scorecards, metrics, and other decision-support resources to inform site selection, enrollment planning, study execution, and COHERE performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Feasibility, Site Partnerships, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Corporate Affairs, and other relevant functions to advance COHERE priorities.
  • Support Diversity Action Plan development and implementation and other applicable regulatory requirements related to patient access and representation.
  • Partner with study teams and sites to monitor enrollment, identify barriers, and support data-driven course correction.
  • Develop and support site-, healthcare institution-, and community-based approaches that strengthen clinical trial education, referral pathways, and patient access.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with research sites, healthcare institutions, community organizations, advocacy organizations, and other external partners aligned with clinical research needs.
  • Conduct patient journey, landscape, and stakeholder analyses to identify emerging needs, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Support the development of COHERE processes, playbooks, governance, performance measures, and best practices to enable consistent and scalable execution.
  • Represent COHERE and BeOne, as appropriate, at research-site meetings, scientific congresses, industry forums, and community engagements.
  • Manage assigned projects, workstreams, consultants, vendors, or external partners and communicate progress, risks, insights, and recommendations to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Lead or support additional strategic initiatives, workstreams, and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of COHERE based on evolving business and organizational needs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • May mentor or support team members as required and supports set up of individual development plans.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred, MBA, MSc, PhD, MD and/or MPH. Preference for degrees in sociology, medicine, pharmacology, epidemiology, clinical science, or public health.
  • Minimum 8 years relevant clinical research operations experience

Location Requirement:

  • This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be located on the West Coast of the United States (Pacific Time Zone) to support business needs and collaboration with the team.

Salary Range: $143,300.00 - $193,300.00 annually

BeOne is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
