The Work
As anAssociate Creative Director, Copy, you will lead the development of branded, promotional copy and content for healthcare audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers. You will create messaging that captures attention, builds trust, and performs in a highly regulated life sciences environment.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams spanning creative, strategy, account, data and analytics, performance marketing, and experience design to create integrated, customer-centric campaigns and content. You will help shape content strategies that align to client business goals while ensuring all deliverables meet medical, legal, and regulatory standards.
You should bring experience creating content for both established and emerging channels, including digital platforms, CRM, paid media, web, and omnichannel experiences. You are skilled at identifying compelling narratives within clinical data, prescribing information, and brand strategy, and transforming them into content that is differentiated, compliant, and relevant.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of branded, promotional copy across a range of channels and formats for life sciences and healthcare clients.
- Translate scientific, clinical, and product information into clear, compelling, and compliant messaging for HCP, patient, and caregiver audiences.
- Present creative work internally and to clients with a clear strategic rationale, articulating how messaging supports campaign objectives and broader business goals.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including art and design, strategy, account management, data and analytics, and performance marketing to deliver integrated customer experiences.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand strategy, tone of voice, regulatory requirements, and medical/legal/compliance standards, including FDA and/or PAAB guidelines where applicable.
- Navigate MLR review processes confidently and efficiently, incorporating feedback while preserving strategic and creative integrity.
- Write and oversee both long-form and short-form content, including email, websites, landing pages, digital ads, direct mail, SMS, sales collateral, one-pagers, and other omnichannel assets.
- Develop impactful headlines, subject lines, calls to action, and messaging frameworks that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Use research, audience insights, and performance data to inform messaging and optimize content effectiveness across audience segments.
- Maintain consistency, quality, and voice across all deliverables, including work developed by junior team members.
- Contribute to campaign and content strategy, helping ensure creative output is aligned to client objectives and market opportunity.
- Manage timelines, priorities, and deliverable status with a high degree of organization, transparency, and accountability.
- Mentor and develop copywriters and junior creatives, providing feedback that elevates craft and supports career growth.
- Partner with Creative Manager to shape project plans, workflows, and quality standards to ensure work is delivered on time and at a high level of excellence.
Heres What Youll Need
- 6+ years of professional copywriting experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare fields.
- 3+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and reviewing the work of copywriters or junior creative team members.
- Proven experience developing branded, promotional content for HCP, patient, and caregiver audiences.
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, MLR review processes, and content submission requirements in regulated environments.
- A portfolio showcasing branded promotional pharmaceutical or healthcare work across channels for HCP and/or patient audiences is required.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret clinical data, prescribing information, and scientific materials to create compelling promotional narratives.
- Strong presentation and client management skills, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and handle feedback effectively.
- Excellent collaboration skills and experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Availability to support teams working in EST hours.
- High school diploma, GED, or CAEC.

employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
