What You9re Applying forWe9re looking for an Associate Corporate Counsel to be the 2nd hire on our legal team and serve as a key resource across Triple Whale9s commercial operations. You9ll work directly with business teams to support the full lifecycle of our customer and vendor relationships, while helping build the legal infrastructure to scale with the company.
This is a high-visibility role with broad exposure to the business and a clear path for growth.
What You9ll Do- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including SaaS subscription agreements, order forms, amendments, and statements of work
- Review and negotiate vendor and procurement contracts
- Manage NDA workflows and maintain standardized templates
- Maintain and organize the company9s data room and key contract records
- Conduct legal research on emerging issues relevant to Triple Whale9s products and business
- Support data privacy and data protection compliance efforts, including reviewing and negotiating data processing agreements
- Help develop and maintain contract playbooks, clause libraries, and internal legal resources
- Triage and respond to inbound legal requests from sales, partnerships, finance, and other business teams
- Assist with corporate governance and entity management tasks as needed
- Support product and engineering teams on terms of service, acceptable use policies, and API/data licensing matters as they arise
- Contribute to legal ops improvements and process-building as the legal function scales
What We9re Looking For- JD from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing of the New York bar (or eligible for in-house registration)
- 1+ years of legal experience, ideally with exposure to commercial transactions, technology agreements, or general corporate work
- Prior experience at a law firm, in-house legal team, or a combination of both
- Familiarity with SaaS/technology agreements and e-commerce business models is a plus
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and limited established process
- A collaborative, low-ego approach to problem-solving
Base Compensation Range: $125,000-$150,000
