Job Title: Associate Corporate CounselDepartment / Division: Comm And Real Estate TransactionsSalary Range: $134,329 - $148,469Location: Ada, MI Day-to-day responsibilities include:- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements, including:
- SaaS and software licensing agreements
- IT and technology contracts
- R&D and AI-related agreements
- Assessing legal and business risk while offering practical recommendations
- Advising internal stakeholders across multiple functions and global regions
- Supporting enterprise-wide initiatives, including AI governance and new market expansion
- Leading legal support for specific projects or compliance areas (e.g., compliance with the Payment Card Industry - Data Security Standard )
- Managing and documenting contract matters within Amway's matter management systems
- Contributing to dispute resolution efforts, when needed
- Identifying opportunities to improve legal processes and drive efficiencies
Tools & Environment:- Microsoft Office Suite
- Matter management tools (e.g., Passport)
- Fast-paced, high-volume environment with broad organizational exposure
Travel:- Minimal (occasional conferences or meetings)
Required Qualifications:- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution
- Licensed to practice law (or ability to obtain licensure)
- Ideal minimum of 3 years of legal experience (5+ years preferred)
- Experience with contract review, drafting, and negotiation
- Exposure to commercial, technology, and/or corporate legal matters
