Job Description

We're seeking a commercially driven, Associate Client Director to grow one of NIQ's most strategic enterprise partnerships within the retail media ecosystem. This role serves as the primary commercial owner for a high-visibility retail media business unit at a major U.S. retailer.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and scrappy: someone who can independently identify opportunity, navigate a fragmented buying landscape, influence multiple decision-makers, and progress complex deals from signal to close. This role requires comfort operating in ambiguity, building momentum without formal authority, and driving outcomes in an ecosystem where no single stakeholder owns the full solution.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Ownership & Growth:
  • Own expansion revenue outcomes, including opportunity identification, deal structuring, negotiation, and close
  • Independently build and manage pipeline within a complex, multi-buyer enterprise account
  • Identify and convert whitespace opportunities across products, use cases, and stakeholders
  • Drive urgency and momentum in long sales cycles with competing priorities and incentives

Multi-Persona Client Leadership:
  • Serve as the day-to-day commercial lead and trusted advisor
  • Penetrate multiple buyer personas, tailoring value propositions while maintaining a cohesive commercial narrative
  • Navigate misalignment across stakeholders and construct paths to consensus and action

Strategic Planning & Deal Shaping:
  • Lead annual and multi-year joint business planning tied to measurable commercial outcomes
  • Shape solutions by partnering with internal product, analytics, and commercial teams often before formal offerings exist
  • Influence roadmap, packaging, and commercial models based on client demand and market signals

Retail Media & Ad Tech Expertise:
  • Apply deep knowledge of retail media networks, measurement, attribution, and audience strategy to advance client adoption
  • Translate complex technical and analytical concepts into clear commercial value for non-technical buyers
  • Advise clients on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and evolving best practices

Ecosystem & Partner Navigation:
  • Operate effectively in partner-heavy ecosystems, including co-selling, integration dependencies, and adjacent solutions
  • Balance partnership, competition, and client priorities to advance NIQ's commercial position

Qualifications
  • 5+ years in retail media, ad tech, digital media, ecommerce, or related enterprise technology
  • Demonstrated success closing and expanding enterprise deals in highly matrixed environments
  • Proven ability to influence multiple stakeholders with differing goals and incentives
  • Strong commercial instincts with executive-level communication and negotiation skills
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity, limited direction, and evolving solutions
  • Ability to translate data and analytics into compelling commercial outcomes

Preferred
  • Experience working with or supporting retail media networks
  • Background in business development, solution consulting, or enterprise sales
  • Experience closing six- or seven-figure deals or expanding share of wallet within a single strategic account
  • Familiarity with closed-loop measurement, data monetization, or media performance analytics

What You'll Bring
  • A hunter mentality paired with strategic judgment
  • Strong ownership mindset you create momentum rather than wait for direction
  • Comfort navigating conflict, resistance, and competing priorities
  • Ability to balance long-term partnership value with near-term commercial results
  • Bias toward action, accountability, and results

Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of $93,000.00. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus. Other benefits include a flexible working environment, comprehensive health insurance, industry-leading parental leave, life insurance, education support, and more.

Our Benefits
  • Flexible working environment
  • Volunteer time off
