Associate Civil Engineer - San Jacinto, CAWe are seeking a motivated
Associate Civil Engineer to join our Public Works team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to public infrastructure projects while developing technical and professional skills within a collaborative, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with plan checking for encroachment permits; land development grading plans, street plans, water & sewer plans, drainage plans, drainage studies,
- Review traffic control plans for compliance with applicable standards
- Coordinate with utilities, contractors, consultants, and municipal departments
- Support construction management activities, including resolving field issues when needed
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project correspondence
- Provide Capital Improvement Plan project support to senior engineers and public works staff
Required Skills & Knowledge- Understanding of engineering principles related to public works, utilities, and/or land development projects
- Familiarity with land development and CEQA is preferred
- Awareness of relevant local, state, and federal regulations applicable to public works and development projects
- Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office required)
- Exposure to AutoCAD 3D, GIS, ArcView, or ArcInfo is a plus
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Education & Certification- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or active progress toward a California PE license preferred
