Full Job Description
currently seeks an experienced, energetic, self-starter for the role of Associate Brand Manager in the Disney Division for our headquarters in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing in developing licensed toy product as well as creating and executing marketing plans.

Responsibilities include:

Brand Management inclusive of Product Development Oversight & Strategy

  • Facilitate relationships with cross-functional internal teams (Costing, Design, Planning, Sales, HK) as well as our licensor, Disney, to develop and market compelling product lines
  • Provide category and product-specific market research (including competitive analysis and market overviews) to improve business results and identify new business opportunities
  • Contribute to the planning and management of the U.S. retail distribution strategy in conjunction with key stakeholders
  • Manage internal product definition and item set up process, which serves as basis for bringing product lines to market; update systems on an ongoing basis for specific customer needs and as items dynamically change during the development process
  • Take ownership of the business by managing tools such as line lists and product decks for both internal use and ongoing communication with licensor, Disney
  • Work with manager to determine and implement packaging strategy, communication and ecommerce sales optimization
  • Interface and provide key information to licensor on an ongoing basis to keep a positive communication flow between teams


Brand Management inclusive of Marketing & Sales responsibilities

  • Support brand lead on the development and implementation of brand marketing strategies.
  • Assist in creation of marketing support materials including TVCs/Digital Ads, Social Media Posts, eCommerce copy/images/videos. Assist in management of and execution of daily marketing initiatives/strategies, including all facets of advertising, promotions, PR and events for product lines
  • Assist with licensor relationships to maintain effective communications, gain approvals of marketing materials and maximize co-marketing opportunities
  • Present new product lines and marketing plans to both internal and external partners, generating buyer excitement and engagement
  • Assist in management and coordination of internal sales meetings and tradeshows. Manage product sample allocations directly with Hong Kong office and internal Design team to ensure timely delivery of all materials to support key milestone meetings and retail needs
  • Provide Sales and Retail Marketing with all necessary information, including product sizzles, product decks, line lists and images for effective selling of lines
  • Ensure timely and accurate flow of information to the sales team for brand, product, and marketing updates
  • Review and interpret sales and market data, apply learnings to future programs and campaigns


Skills & Experience required:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of professional working experience
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Preferred experience in marketing or marketing-related function, ideally within a kid-targeted category like toys, entertainment, food, sports, video games, or another type of Consumer Packaged Good (CPG) product or brand
