Full Job Description
Our Houston office is seeking a reliable and energetic associate attorney licensed to practice in Texas. As an associate, you'll be part of a collaborative environment, working closely with partners, colleagues, staff, and clients, gaining hands-on experience in every phase of litigation - all without the pressure of billable hour requirements. Starting Compensation $85,000 - $100,000 per year

Essential Duties
  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, notices, and judgments
  • Conduct legal research and analyze issues, including chains of title and tax matters
  • Prepare for dockets and represent clients in court appearances in Harris and surrounding counties
  • Collaborate with staff on collection and litigation activities
  • Communicate with clients, taxpayers, and opposing counsel
  • Participate in business development, including networking events and statewide conferences

Professional Skills
  • Effectively manage a large caseload
  • Identify and analyze complex issues
  • Provide research that is thorough and responsive to issue at hand
  • Write in an organized, clear, and concise manner
  • Work in a supervisory position

Required Experience
  • 0-2 years of legal experience preferred
  • Admitted to the State Bar of Texas
