MG+M The Law Firm (MG+M) has an immediate opening for an Associate Attorney in our Jackson, MS office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Independently manage a litigation caseload
- Conduct depositions
- Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial
- Review and analyze discovery requests
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests, pleadings, and motions
- Trial preparation and support
- Maintain accurate time records
Candidate Requirements: - Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in one or more of the following practice areas: general litigation, complex litigation, toxic tort liability, or environmental liability.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Must be admitted to practice in the state of Louisiana
- Experience with motion practice and depositions.
- Experience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions is preferred but not required.
- Capable of independent work.
- Work in an organized and efficient manner.
- Superior research and writing skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to analyze complex matters.
