Full Job Description
Role DescriptionWe are seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of landlord-tenant, habitability, or related litigation experience to join our growing California team. This role is ideal for an attorney who has experience handling housing-related disputes, habitability claims, premises liability matters, or general civil litigation matters and is looking to further develop their litigation practice.

What You'll Do:
  • Handle landlord-tenant, habitability, and related civil litigation matters throughout California
  • Draft pleadings, motions, written discovery, case evaluations, and client correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on California housing, habitability, and civil litigation issues
  • Represent clients in court hearings, case management conferences, mediations, and other litigation proceedings both remotely and in person
  • Assist with depositions, witness preparation, and trial preparation
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop effective case strategies

What We're Looking For:
  • At least 1 year of landlord-tenant, habitability, or related litigation experience
  • Active California bar admission required in good standing.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting with partners, associates, paralegals, and law clerks
  • Strong oral advocacy, deposition, case management, and client communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and multiple case assignments in a fast-paced environment
